The Malaysian Congress of Radiology 2024, held from 26-28th July 2024 in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, serves as a beacon for the convergence of foundational knowledge and cutting-edge advancements in the field of radiology.

    Within the pages of this abstract book, we present the culmination of intellectual pursuit and scientific rigor, showcasing the abstracts carefully curated from a pool of brilliant minds. The theme of "Beyond The Report: Interplay of Language and Radiology" encapsulates the essence of this congress, as radiologists, radiology trainees, and allied health professionals come together to explore the harmonious interplay between timehonoured practices and pioneering technologies.

  • Special Issue 1 (2024)

    This special issue presents selected peer-reviewed full-text articles from the IADR Malaysian Section 22nd Annual Scientific Meeting and Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Symposium, Faculty of Dentistry, University Kebangsaan Malaysia. The first of its kind, this issue is the culmination of the efforts of the IADR Malaysian Section Association and Faculty of Dentistry UKM in showcasing the many high-quality research papers presented at both of these prestigious annual conferences.

    With the theme Revolutionalizing Dentistry: Bridging Science, Innovation and Impact, this edition explores the transformative juncture of research, innovation, and practical application within dentistry. With significant breakthroughs in the field of dental sciences, the combined articles constitute an initial step towards a future in which dentistry transcends traditional boundaries.

  • Special Issue 2 (2023): Postgraduate Research Colloquium

    This Special Issue presents selected peer-reviewed full-text articles from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). This issue was an initiative of the Office of the Deputy Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages in order to promote research among faculty members. This edition is a triumph for the Faculty of Health Sciences.

    The Faculty of Health Sciences promotes high quality research in various disciplines such as nutrition, nursing, medical imaging, optometry, biomedical science, environmental health, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. It is imperative that these disciplines come together and exchange knowledge, ideas, and experiences to pave the way for a healthier and more sustainable future. In addition, research in these disciplines is of utmost importance to advance the field of health sciences. Therefore, the faculty encourages all students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, to continue participating in research in order to produce intellectuals with a strong scientific background.

    This Special Issue not only focuses on health sciences but also encompasses other fields related to health sciences. Original and review articles are accepted for publication. This issue serves as a good platform for students and researchers to share their research in the ever-evolving field of health sciences.

  • Globally, the prevalence of both communicable and non-communicable diseases has reached pandemic levels. The prevalence of diseases including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and obesity is worldwide. With the help of technology, many of the most severe infectious diseases of the 20th century may now be fought. These disorders are conditions that develop over an extended period of time as a result of a combination of genetic, physiological, environmental, and behavioural factors, especially the non-communicable diseases.  The goal of this Special Issue, "Combating disease: Current trends, risk, treatment and prevention" is to discuss a wide range of disease-related topics, including make studies about the current pandemic season public. We specially encourage articles that offer fresh perspectives on medicine, medical systems, and management including epidemiological studies, basic science of local and systemic responses related to the medical sciences, fundamental research in medical sciences in lowering risk, improving treatment and prevention.  All Special issues of JUMMEC follow the exact peer review process as regular papers and are published along with the regular issues of the journal when they are accepted. There are additionally labelled as belonging to a Special Issue and share a particular topic of interest to the scientific community.
