Author Guidelines

Contributions in Malay and English languages should be typed single-spaced, and the length is between 6,000 to 8,000 words for the entire paper, 5,000 words for the review article and 1,500 words for a book review. All citations and references must strictly follow the latest version APA style (version 7). Use footnotes or endnotes sparingly.

Please submit two documents as follows: 
i) Title page (author's affiliation, email address & abstract with a minimum of five keywords).
ii) Full text WITHOUT the author's name & affiliation, but must provide the title, abstract and Keywords. 

 

SARJANA’s  REVIEW PROCESS
SARJANA practices a double-blind peer-review process, in which the author (s) and the reviewer (s) do not know each other. Peer review is fundamental to the scientific publication process.

 

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

1.              Authors should be aware of the aims and scope of the journal to evaluate whether the paper is fit for this journal; the aims and scope of the journal are as follows: The aim is to bridge and connect the gap between scholarships in the multi-disciplinary  studies  and global scholarships on any theme and issues related to the social sciences and humanities. The scope of SARJANA broadly focuses on the research result in humanities and social sciences related to Asia and beyond which seeks to promote critical analysis upon inter-related issues within the political, economic and cultural issues.

2.              SARJANA expect a sound theoretical/conceptual framework used.  The author should review previous research or theories. The theory, if any, should be relevant and discussed throughout the paper. 

 

3.              The paper should explain clearly the methodology, comprising qualitative, quantitative or mixed-methods approach.

 

4.              The authors need to ensure   that the abstract (with keywords), introduction, background, research questions and objectives, literature review and theoretical framework, methodology, analysis, findings, conclusion and recommendations are included.  

 

5.              The article should show its capability in communication, which is adequate in terms of language efficiency, clarity and coherence. The paper should be easy to understand and follow logical format and precise data presentation, points, tables, figures, graphs, etc.
