Novels belong to a unique genre of literature, more specifically known as creative literature. Novels are not a lengthy version of a short story, rather, they have the comparative features of a short story. Writing a novel is a time-consuming, content-rich and language-oriented process, but also an easy-to-read and nurturing experience for a vivid reader. In the current era, there is a difference between the reading interest and the language proficiency of a reader. For a bilingual reader there may be a slight difference between the reading interest and the reading speed of novels in each language known to a bilingual reader. This paper shares the novel above, its characteristics, and their continuation. It also provides an understanding of Singapore Tamil novels.
