Word Order Inversion in the Surah al-Baqarah
Main Article Content
Abstract
Beginning with a primary focus on “word order inversion in the Quran†this study makes a case study on surah al-Baqarah. As I explored this surah، I referred to the sources of tafsir works، Arabic grammar and rhetoric. Facilitating to understand the subject، this study is divided into two chapters، firstly grammatical dimension and finally the rhetorical. However، this study ends with a conclusion، reference and bibliography. As Allah (S.W.T) chose Arabic language to be the language of the Quran, the rinciples of Arabic language، its grammatical styles and approaches have been a subject of huge importance to Arab. If، in any case، the Quran differs with any of Arabic linguistic aspects، it gives even more eloquent and prefect denotation. However، this phenomenon is conventional in Arabic language and it was existed even before Islamic era. The Arab was، grammatically and rhetorically، aware about this subject. While I chose surah al-Baqarah for this study، I discovered that almost half of the verses in this surah contain this phenomenon، and this encourages me to study this subject.
