Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the Holy Quran memorization competition in the various stages of education from the point of view of educational supervisors and teachers supervising it. (150) male and female teachers and (14) male and female supervisors. The study adopted the descriptive approach. One of the most important findings of the study is to identify the sources of difficulties that led to the high level of obstacles associated with the nature of the Holy Quran memorization competition, and to continue to support the Holy Quran memorization competition in the schools of the Sultanate due to the great benefits that result from it in the service of the Holy Quran، and the effectiveness of the competition appeared less of its effectiveness in others, especially with regard to the transfer of the impact of the competition to activities practiced by the student outside the school, such as participating in the Quranic media Programs. In the light of the results of the study, it recommends the following: Continuing to support the Holy Quran memorization competition in the schools of the Sultanate due to the great benefits that result from it in the service of the Holy Quran. Providing more moral and material support for the direct parties to the competition. In the light of the results of the study and its recommendations, the researcher suggests the following: Conducting a study to discover the reasons why some categories of schools in the governorate are distinguished by levels of better achievement of the objectives of the competition.
