Analysis of the Concept of Islamic Philanthropy in the Distribution of Property According to the Qur'an and Hadith

Abstract

Philanthropy is one of the elements that involves property and benefits from a property. In terms of practicality, philanthropy is the process of applying the element of 'together' in the management of community life which is important to address the issue of social well-being. Therefore, this paper will analyze the concept of Islamic philanthropy in the distribution of property based on the Quran and Hadith. Through the method of document analysis using the book of interpretation, hadith and literature in the relevant theme, the secondary data collected will be analyzed by analysis of the content. The findings show that the concept of Islamic philanthropy in the distribution of property according to the Quran and Hadith is linked to four main principles which are philanthropy, property sharing, achievement of benefits and love. These principles clearly connects the worship among the community to obtain good and reward from Allah SWT. The results of this paper are expected to contribute to society in improving social well-being.
