About the Journal

OLIGOV: Malaysian Journal of Policy, Leadership, International & Government Affairs is an open-access, double-anonymised, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the International Institute of Public Policy and Management (INPUMA), Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for advancing scholarly research, policy analysis, and intellectual debate in the fields of public policy, political science, public administration and governance, public management, leadership, international relations, and government affairs.

POLIGOV welcomes original contributions from academics, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners that contribute to the theoretical, empirical, and practical understanding of contemporary policy and governance challenges. The journal particularly encourages research addressing evidence-based policymaking, governance innovation, institutional development, political and administrative reform, strategic leadership, and the interaction between domestic, regional, and international policy environments.

While POLIGOV maintains a strong interest in Malaysia and ASEAN, the journal also welcomes comparative, regional, and international studies from other parts of the world that offer broader theoretical, empirical, or policy relevance.
